Styling Your Family Photo Session

You’ve booked your family photo session, and now you are probably wondering “what will my family wear?” It’s an important question because the wardrobe that you select for your session truly has a major impact on the outcome of your gallery! Selecting pieces with great color palette coordination, movement and texture in the fabric, photogenic and flattering patterns can really give your images that extra layer of “Wow!” You are making an incredible investment each time you choose to have professional photos taken. As with any other investment, you want the finished product to look and feel amazing. With Style and Select, be prepared for stress-free styling for the whole family!

What is Style & Select?

As a mama of two little ones, I know how stressful it can be to coordinate the whole family’s outfits. That’s why I use Style and Select to help my clients find the perfect wardrobe to showcase their style and personality. Style and Select is a one stop shop for outfit coordination, purchasing pieces for your session or simply utilizing it as a vision board for items already in your closet. Style and Select has options for any style and makes for stress-free styling for the whole family! Access to Style and Select is an included benefit when booking a session with Rachel Mann Photography – so there is no cost to you!

How Does Style & Select Work?

Style and Select makes shopping fun and easy! After you’ve completed the booking process, I will send you a link to the questionnaire and a styling code. You’ll enter the code and then click “Start Styling.” From there, you’ll fill out the questionnaire.  You can pick the vibe of your outfit choices – Elevated Casual (modest and traditional with a kick) or Modern Boho (flowy and whimsical with a retro edge). You will then select however many people will be in your photos, their sizes and genders. After picking two color choices, you view your results and start picking out your clothes. 

If you see something that you like, simply click on the heart to save it. Continue this process for each person in your family. Once your style board is finished, Style and Select will send you an email with the layout of your pieces and a link to purchase them, if desired.

If you do not want to purchase a new wardrobe for each member of your family, that is perfectly fine! I always encourage my clients to use as many items from their own closets as possible. Style and Select results can be used as a visual tool to help you pull basics from your own closets. I also encourage you to use the site as a guide when shopping locally, or it is easy enough to purchase only a few key pieces from your Result Email.
